GURU NANAK DEV JI - THE ETERNAL: STORIES, TEACHINGS, ODYSSEYS

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was born in 1469 on the 15Th Of April to a Hindu family by rituals, though he condemned the caste system and blessed people with Lord’s Message:

AWAL ALLAH NOOR UPAAEYAA, KUDRAT KEY SAB BANDEY II

EK NOOR TEY SABH JAG UPJEYAA, KAUN BHALEY KAO MANDEY II

He started going to school at the age of  7. He surprised his master by explaining him, the symbol of first letter of alphabet, which is a straight Stroke in Persian or Arabic. It resembled mathematical one & symbolized “ Lord “ being one & united.

At the age of 18, Guru Nanak Dev Ji married Mata Sulakhani Ji on 24th Of September 1487. He had 2 sons, Baba Sri Chand Ji Maharaj and baba lakhmi daas ji .
Baba Sri Chand Ji became the founder of the Odyssey (Udaasi) Religion.

At the age of 30, Guru Nanak had a vision from eternity. One day Guru Nanak failed to return from his bath & his clothes were found On the bank of the stream. Locals thought That he has died. After 3 days, he returned back & stayed silent. Later he taught That he had been taken to lord's court & there he Was offered a cup full of Amrit & he was Blessed.

Guru Nanak founded the Sikh religion embed & iterates the lord’s Message in the most sacred scripture “the guru Granth“.

His teachings majorly involve one of the most important things; 'Vand Chakko', 'Kirat Karo', ' Naam Japo'. Vand Shakna involves sharing goodness With others & helping the ones in need. Along with sharing of physical assets, vand shakna also includes sharing of breath’s with everyone by going to sat Sangat & taking the lord’s name in the holy congregation (Sat Sangat). “ Kirat Karo “ involves earn living honestly while Without exploiting anyone with any fraud & the utmost pure living (Suchi Kirat) Involves enchanting the lord’s name, i.e. “ Naam Japna“ & “J-Paaona ”, “Naam Japna “ involves meditating Lord’s name & controlling our evils.

Guru Nanak travelled the world with the objective to spread the holy message of the Lord. He travelled to Mecca, Tibet, Kashmir, Bengal, Manipur, Rome etc. on foot with his Muslim companion, Bhaib mardana & did various Religious journeys with Bhai Bala Ji & Bhai Mardana Ji.

Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj left for the heavenly abode at the age Of 70. he appointed Bhai Lehna Ji as his successor & renamed him Guru Angad Dev Ji.
