WHY IS THERE TWO DIFFERENT HOLI DATES IN INDIA?
Holi is a two-day festival celebrated in the majority of countries. Holika Dahan (the burning of the demon Holika) or Chhoti Holi is celebrated on the first evening of the festival. That is when a bonfire is lit in preparation for a puja (or prayer). The bonfire is purifying and is intended to burn away everything that is bad and evil.
Rangwali Holi is the name given on the second day of the festival. It's a day when people get to play with coloured powder and water. Rangwali Holi is also spelled Dhulandi, Dhulendi, and Phagwah.
Every year, Holi is celebrated on a different date. This year, Holi is on March 18, 2022 (Friday), followed by Holika Dahan on March 17, 2022 (Thursday).

Purnima Tithi begins at 01:27 p.m. on March 17, 2022, and ends at 12.47 a.m. on March 18, 2022 on the day of Holika Dahan.
PURPOSE OF HOLI:

Since then, the day has been marked by the triumph of good over evil.

HOW IS HOLI CELEBRATED AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS:
The Holi festival is celebrated differently in each state. On the night before Holi, a Holika bonfire is lit to commemorate the festival. On this day, people gather around a bonfire to sing and dance and pray for the safety of their loved ones.
The following day, people play with colours, visit family and friends, and then share Holi delicacies, which include food and drinks. Some people even mix bhang drinks with sweets to enjoy the day. Bhang is made by combining the female cannabis plant's leaves and flowers. It has been consumed as a beverage during this festival since ancient times.
