Every year in the month of April, Baisakhi festival (also known as Vaisakhi) is celebrated. Baisakhi is primarily a Hindu-Sikh festival, but Muslims also actively participates in this eve- celebration. Baisakhi is not only a celebration of the Sikh new year 'or' the harvest season, but it also commemorates the 'Organisation of Khalsa Panth' by "Satguru Guru Gobind Singh Ji" in the year, 1966. 

Some of the holy activities of Baisakhi include the reading of the Sikh Holy Book, "Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj" in Gurudwaras, and the distribution of Karah Prasad (after offering Prayers to the Guru) & Langar among the devotees after being offered to Guru. Fairs are held on Baisakhi for entertainment purposes. As well as popular Bhangra, Giddha dances & Punjabi dhols add to the frolic of the festival.
